BIBLICAL MANDATE
To participate in Christ’s ministry of reconciliation to the world by proclaiming & demonstrating the good news of the kingdom of God.

Ministry of Reconciliation
• Colossians  1:19-20 “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” NIV

• II Corinthians 5:18-20 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” NIV

BIBLICAL FOCUS
We will be minsters of Reconciliation through Proclamation of the good news

• This involves the spoken word
• Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free
• Bible Training, Christian leadership development, Preaching, Teaching, Church Planting, Proclamation gifts, Mission training and mobilization etc.

We will be ministers of Reconciliation through Demonstration of the good news

• This involves the demonstrated word
• Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
• Humanitarian Relief, Community Development Programs / Projects, Orphan Care, HIV / AIDs training, micro-industry development, Compassion, Rehabilitation, Education etc.

BIBLICAL STRATEGY
Reconciliation to THE WORLD means Global Strategy

• In Established Fields (where the gospel is relatively well established and where we have historical & significant relationships)

• In New Frontiers (among unreached people groups)
Remaining globally equitable as we minister in Established Fields while prayerfully taking advantage of seasons of open doors in New Unreached Frontiers and obeying Christ’s command to disciple all nations.

• Matt. 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” (Ethne = Ethnic / people groups)

There are over 6,000 unreached people groups in the world. We endeavor to concentrate on participating with God in bringing the good news to new frontiers among the unreached.
Prayerfully we will enter into strategic, God honoring partnerships which will help facilitate both a concentrated focus on unreached frontiers and continued effective ministry in established fields.

THE ACOP MISSIONS DIVISION
Our Missions Division conducts an active missions ministry that is endeavoring to bring the Gospel of Christ to the nations of the world. Some of the countries we are working in directly and in various significant ways, through missionaries (also called international workers), itinerant ministries, national ministries, national churches and projects are:

Rwanda, Congo, Burkina Faso, Rwanda, Burundi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana, El Salvador, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Bolivia, Tobago, Cuba, Haiti, Estonia, India, Cambodia, Taiwan, Japan, China, Thailand

Missions Directors – Jerry & Brenda Schuetz give leadership to this division along with a missions committee. ACOP administrated missionaries / international workers are supported through local churches, districts, and by individual donations. Furthermore, our local churches directly support, send and partner with numerous ministries and missionaries worldwide.

ACOP MISSIONS COMMITTEE
The ACOP Missions Committee is comprised of the Missions Directors, the ACOP President, the ACOP Administrator and four Directors / Portfolio Holders who give oversight to ACOP missions operations around the world.
